Choreographer and media artist, Jonah Bokaer, was invited to respond to the radical process and artwork of Medardo Rosso and the architecture of the Pulitzer's Tadao Ando building. The newly commissioned artwork, IMMUNITY, which includes performer Wendell Gray II highlights the physical, poetic nature of the artwork and architecture. This piece was created as a choreography for the Pulitzer Arts Foundation, its first dance commission. IMMUNITY is the choreographic response by Jonah Bokaer. Rosso's work focuses on the disappearance of texture, materials, and people who occupy a fragile role in society. The notions of erasure, disappearance and ephemerality are recurring themes in Bokaer's work. The piece will be performed by Jonah Bokaer and by Wendell Gray II.
